Anti-Bullying (PBIS)
School-wide Positive Behavior Support is a proactive process that is used to develop a positive and safe program, school and community climate, help children/youth develop better social and emotional skills,
and expand behavioral health supports for ALL.
The process is best represented by a three-tier framework for prevention, intervention and support that is implemented by a core team. Coaches support all staff as they teach program or school-wide expectations and appropriate child/youth behaviors, using consistent positive guidance.
A key element of the process is for the team to collect and analyze data, using a problem-solving approach to addressing patterns of group or individual child/youth challenging behavior(s).
