Who are School Social Workers?

School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals with a degree in social work who provide services related to a person's social, emotional, and life adjustment to school and/or society. School Social Workers are the link between the home, school, and community in providing direct as well as indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to promote and support student's academic and social success.

Armstrong Indiana BDHP: provides information on all behavioral and developmental health services and provider agencies available to you and your family.

The Guidance Center (Indiana, PA): provides Outpatient, School-Based, Psych Services (Evaluation, Medication Management), Service Coordination, services for Intellectually Disabled, and Drug and Alcohol supports

Family Behavioral Resources (Indiana, PA): provides Outpatient, Psych Services (Evaluation, Medication Management), and BHRS.

Family Psychological Associates (Indiana, PA): provides Outpatient, Psych Services (Evaluation, Medication Management), and BHRS.

YMH Project: educate, empower, and support families and communities to better understand and care for the mental health of our youth.
Drug and Alcohol Resources
Armstrong-Indiana-Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission: oversees and provides information on substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services for the area.

The Open Door (Indiana, PA): provides Assessment, Outpatient, Specialized Services, Crisis Intervention, and Education Programming.
