White House Cybersecurity Summit


Mr. Philip Martell, Superintendent of the River Valley School District, was invited to join leaders at the White House for a summit to establish best practices and recommendations for schools to protect their digital infrastructure against cyber threats. 

Superintendent Philip Martell represented River Valley School District at the event hosted by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. The event, “Back to School Safely: Cybersecurity for K-12 Schools,” aims to enhance school security and highlight resources available to the education sector.

Summer Welding Camp

Students entering grades 7-9 are eligible to participate in a summer welding camp at the STEAM Academy. Students will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of welding, develop practical skills, and engage in creative projects under the guidance of our experienced welding instructor, Mr. Peterson.
